US expats vote with absentee ballots. These are paper ballots that the states send out about one or two months in advance of elections. You can’t see them in the pic, but there are bubbles next to the names that you darken for your choice. You put the ballot in an envelope, get two people to sign as witnesses, then stick it in the mail. Oh, by the way, that pic only shows the US presidential race section. The actual ballot is a lot bigger and has congressional races and referendums.
