YouTube going after Viddler?

Just noticed that YouTube now has an annotation feature. You can insert pop-up comments and such on the videos. This feature was the main reason I stuck with Viddler.
Hmmmmm.
I wonder what the folks at Viddler are cooking up to keep the folks there?
Stick around and find out. Rumor has it Rob, Donna, and Colin have a lot more improvements coming!

@Hugh – > I’m sticking around for the time being. When I was deciding where to put my vids, I went back and forth between Viddler and YouTube. Like I stated in my post, Viddler’s pop-ups won me over. I’m not really happy with the look of YouTube’s pop-ups. They remind me a tad bit too much of VH-1s “Pop-up Videos,” meaning, the style is outdated. But, on the other hand, YouTube is YouTube. If folks want to get publicity, or just seen, they put their stuff there. Viddler has *got* to connect more with their community. At least send out an update once a month or something. One thing that gets me about some services is that they expect folks to *only* use RSS feeds or stop by the site to keep up with what’s going on. There’s nothing wrong with sending out a monthly e-mail newsletter (at least in my opinion…I know some folks don’t like this). I’m not sure if Viddler is doing this or not. I don’t think so. If it is, just let me know and I’ll check my spam folder closely.:-)
