I normally try not to get all political and ish (definition 1) over here at TNMD, but this video just…just…well hell…I don’t know what it made me: sad? pissed off?
But first, I’ve got to give props to Bossip for hipping me to The Real News Network. I absolutely love the layout of the site. I haven’t perused the articles yet, but it seems like a very worthy effort.
Now, back to the video: A TRNN reporter went out and talked with some W Virginians on why they voted for Hillary (or will vote for McCain). It’s clear that their ballots aren’t really for their favorite candidate, but against Obama.
It’s mindboggling how they opened up to the correspondent, even though they’re not saying anything that a lot of us didn’t know already. I also think TRNN deserves credit for putting out there what the mainstream press dances around.
I sort of wish though that the interviewees had just gone ahead and said, “He’s a negra and I don’t want him representing me” and gotten it over with instead of being all polite.
But, the lady at the end does give me hope.
